Perpetual University chaplain died


SAN PABLO CITY – The Perpetual University Chaplain Binan, Laguna branch passed away on Sunday morning due to natural causes, according to Church authorities.

Fr. Paul Bugay, the Oeconomus of the Diocese of San Pablo identified the priest chaplain as Rev. Fr. Rolando “Olan” Ardes, 49 who died of Cardiac Arrest at the Perpetual University Hospital where he served for about two years now.

Ardes completed a course in Veterinary Medicine at the University of the Philippines Los Banos before finishing his Theology Studies at the Holy Apostles Senior Seminary at San Carlos Seminary Complex in Makati City. He was ordained priest by then San Pablo Bishop Pedro N. Bantigue, DD in 1990.

The late priest’s remains lie in state at his parents’ residence in Liliw town. He will be interred at a local cemetery following the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, at the town’s St. John the Baptist Parish Church.
